Our mantra isn’t something we take lightly. You’ll see it in action every day, whether it’s through one of our community service, mentorship or diversity programs aimed toward bettering the lives of our employees and our communities.
Empow(HER), the Henderson women's network, was created to help propel women through connections, collaboration, and development. Made for women, by women, Empow(HER) offers educational sessions, networking, and programs that encourage young women to pursue careers in STEM.
The Henderson Engineers Foundation
The Henderson Engineers Foundation supports local and national charity groups and non-profit organizations through employee matching contributions and in-kind donations. The Foundation has donated to groups such as the Salvation Army, City Union Mission, Toys for Tots, Habitat for Humanity, Lighthouse, Hope Center, American Red Cross, and the Community Blood Center.
Architecture, Construction, and Engineering (ACE) Mentor Program
We’re proud to be a host of this national after-school program for high school juniors and seniors. This mentor program introduces students to the world of architecture, construction, and engineering careers with engaging, hands-on, group projects.
Olathe School District’s 21st Century Program
During a pre-professional technical internship, a student in this district near our headquarters spends 20 days at Henderson Engineers exploring the field of engineering through hands-on learning and observation.
Every year, employees form teams to participate in this fun, multi-sport competition that supports charity.
We believe in investing in the future. Every year, Henderson provides scholarships to assist Architectural Engineering students.
Arts Council of Kansas City
As a supporter of the Arts Council of Kansas City, Henderson helps support local arts organizations, programs, and artists throughout the area. Henderson encourages employees to participate in “Art@Work,” a city-wide arts challenge, and “Now Showing,” a program that provides opportunities for area artists to display their work at local companies.
